One of my hobbies is going into online tech support forums, looking for common, straightforward questions that are frequently answered with 1. Thing You Are Using Is Wrong/Stupid, Use Other Thing 2. String of Incomprehensible Jargon That Assumes A High Level of Understanding Or That A Number of Prerequisite Steps Have Already Been Taken - neither of which ever actually, you know, answers the poor OP’s question, and posting replies that actually answer the question in straightforward English. It never fails to infuriate the clique of self-satisfied gatekeepery d-bags who congregate in such places, but there’s nothing they can do about it. It fills me with warmth and joy.

(Though to be fair, I find Android forums have far lower d-bag levels than most other tech subjects.)
