-It is so tiny!
-The battery life: I've had it on since I got up, on and off, with the wi-fi running - about five hours, give or take, and am still at 32%. Will experiment further with wi-fi turned off.
-Linux. I think I am coming around. I have so far today done two command-line edits, the big one to switch the desktop from
Things I'm still thinking about:
-The keyboard. Not because of size, but because of layout. I keep accidentally brushing the touchpad with the heels of my hands and switching windows, which mostly just means I need to remind myself to type neatly with my wrists up like you're supposed to and I never do. Also, they combined the Page Up/Page Down/Home/End keys with the arrow keys, and they're slightly to the left of where they normally are, so I keep reaching for the Shift key and ending up at the top of a page. Again, I think this is mostly just something I need to get used to. Since I already type veryveryfast, this isn't slowing me down much.
-Linux is scary. I mean, in a good way, probably, because it doesn't open a load of useless crap every time I boot, and it's customisable down to the bones, which is nice, but it's still scary. Also I can't get any of the Linux LJ clients to install, but that's probably because I don't know what I'm doing. Suggestions would be welcome.
-This is a petty one, but Star Office doesn't seem to want to open in Advanced Mode. Again, this is probably something I'm doing. I will investigate.
ETA: It may be too late for this to matter, but I bought a two-zone Translink pass for August only to have my school pass show up in the mail on Thursday. Both the roomie and
ETA2: Bus pass has been claimed. Still want to see some of you here for the con, though! Even though I'm not going to the thing myself.
