So: I know this is a shot in the dark, but is anybody out there on Dollarhost and having the same issues? I'm going to call Shaw and ask them, next, though I'm 99% sure they can't do anything about it, because I'm also pretty sure this is nothing to do with them. The error I'm getting is "host not found," and anyway my Gmail and my Shaw accounts (and the Shaw uses the exact same POP3 and SMTP ports) are coming through fine. Weirder yet, I logged on with the Dollarhost Admin address and as far as its concerned, my account is up and running, and it acknowledged me as logged-in, even. Their call centre is closed, and I sent them an e-mail through their site, but they say 48 hours response time and gods know how long that is in human time.
But Dad can access the webpage, and download his e-mail fine. And we're on the SAME ISP. So I have no idea.
Can anybody think of any reason why this is happening? Because it's been happening since Monday, and it's my main e-mail, and it's REALLY pissing me off.
And I am making Dad move to Dreamhost next month. >:(
