There is a cloud slowly digesting the campus. I can't be sure about the digestion part, but whatever it's doing, it's giving us some intensely freaky ambiance outside, of the creepy-in-a-cool-way variety.

I have no idea how I'm going to make it through history. I only slept about two hours last night, and got up late (the near-death experience with the ugly white Ford on the crosswalk did not wake me up nearly so effectively as you might imagine). So I'm falling asleep if I sit still for more than thirty seconds at a time. I really hope my presentation partner doesn't want to work *today*, because my dearest wish in the world right now is to get home as fast as possible after class, get my stuff together and then nap, glorious nap until dragonfly13 arrives. Then to Ridge, for the iPod cable and to wash some things (mainly for the iPod cable), and to collect lilymc who will sleep on my couch and take posession of my keys tomorrow morning, and then give them to Mum, so that I may rest assured my plants probably won't die. (If this plan sounds overly complex, that's because it is. But I only have one set of keys.)

(And GODS THIS IS AN ANNOYINGLY BROKEN KEYBOARD. I get that they have to make do with what they have, and the library keyboards get a ridiculous amount of use, but once the Shift and Enter keys are sticking with every keystroke it's more or less time to replace them. o.O)

I don't know if it's the solid wall of fog outside or that I'm just imposing my own tiredness on everyone else, but everybody I see today has a just-woken-up, had-to-run-for-the-bus, I-don't-care-what-my-hair-looks-like-because-it's-OUT-OF-MY-WAY look about them. Like nobody is really here. They're handing out free hot chocolate in the convocation mall, which is a nice gesture but really just keeps bringing to mind the necessity and making me suspect lurking Daleks and that we've been transported into Dickensean London. mind is a strange, strange place. o.O

I have to do some reading now, so as to give the illusion of intelligent discussion, but I harbour a strong suspicion that I will end up curled up in a lounge chair with my phone tucked in my front pocket with the alarm set. Boy oh boy, but tomorrow morning's going to be fun. Leaving my building at four-forty-five, yay! Grrgghhhhk.
