In the fun news, I am currently in posession of my mum's DVD burner. Which means, amongst other things, that yes, dragonfly13, you will be getting your Peter Pan back soon. And while I'm at it, lisew, did you ever get ahold of a copy of that thing you were trying to get ahold of? 'Cause I downloaded two potential copies, but they're both in Mac format and I can't test to see whether they work or not. (Also, I have a present for you for next Thursday, for the thing. :D)

In the slightly stressful news, I don't have a job yet and am next week going to have to move on to applying at the crappy places. My airfare for Dexcon, however, is theoretically taken-care-of, as Dad RPs with a guy who works at Travel Cuts and I can pay *him* back later. Now just to scrape together rent/utilities for August, food for the interim, and spending money and fees for Toronto.

There are funny blotchy things on my legs. Little pink blotchy things that look like bug bites, but are not. I do not know what they are, but they don't itch or anything, they're just... blotchy. o.O

In the distinctly un-fun news, I still haven't finished Vanity Fair. (Does anybody *ever* finish Vanity Fair? It's like the longest book in the history of the world without any even remotely interesting events or characters thus far.) And I'm supposed to write an 8-page paper on it, which seems... disproportionate. I don't think I'm *going* to finish it on time, but it won't be the first place I wrote a paper on a book I hadn't actually finished reading. *glare* I am currently reading five books, including Vanity Fair (for school), Swamp Angel (also for school), Hitchiker's (which I picked up to re-read before the movie but didn't get through before it came out), The Moon is a Harsh Mistress (which I picked up to re-read on the Skytrain last week because I'd left Hitchiker's at my parents') and Articles of the Federation, a Star Trek book mik100 lent me that so far as I can tell, is a rip-off of The West Wing in space. Which, to be fair, is okay with me, and I think is potentially a good idea for a series. ;)

Must remember to renew my ISIC card on Friday. If I take in my paper in person I won't have to spend a stamp on it, anyway.

The DVD burner is whirring at me. Such power. *evil cackle*

And finally, in the I-never-do-this-but-I'm-procrastinating news, a meme, gacked from apocalypsos:

There's been an accident and my memory's been wiped. I have no recollection of who I am. Tell me about myself; what do you know about me? What kind of person am I? What are my likes & dislikes? How did we meet and how long have we known each other? Is there one thing in particular that stands out about me? Tell me who I am. Tell me anything.
