I'm annoyed that she made me mad. I didn't yell or anything, but I rather wish I'd known they were coming so I could have prepared a more detailed rant. I finally got rid of her by telling her I was raised a socialist, am a student, have a social worker for a mother, and have actual, consciously-formed opinions and political affiliations and therefore was not going to change my vote just because of her less-than-cunning arguments (I may have been ever-so-slightly less eloquent than that). I think I also said something about worrying about the possibility that there were people who might vote Liberal just because she told them to. Yeah, I was rather bitchy. But she was extremely condescending. When I answered the door she asked if my parents were home and then proceeded to treat me as if I'd never voted before, even after I told her I had done so three times. She also totally ignored eeeeeverything I said except the parts that clicked in with her spiel. Grrr. Stupid... capitalist... wearing too much perfume... making me sneeze...GIANT GAS-GUZZLING MONSTROSITY SUV DOWN AT THE CURB*muttersweargrumble*
I am curious, however, about the implications of her visiting us in person. I don't think the NDP guy did that, although I wasn't here when they came by. Does this indicate crazy-obsession-level involvement, or desperation? I hope for the latter. *glare*
EDIT: They are still in the building. WE ARE BEING INVADED SOMEONE MAKE THEM GO AWAY OR I'M GOING TO ATTACK THEM WITH NATIONALIZED HEALTHCARE IN MISSILE FORM.
CORRECTIONAL EDIT: I do not actually posess nationalized healthcare in missile form. Although that would be cool.
AHAH EDIT: New plan! I will instead chase them away beaning them over the heads with my Arts diploma! They will FLEE BEFORE THE MIGHT OF MY NON-UTILITARIAN DEGREE! WRAPPED AROUND A BRICK! OF COMMIE, ECONOMY-CHOKING ART!
