So... December, apparently? *sigh*

I think I get the math, now.

...

...that's still stupid. Actually, moreso. o.O

And I'm sorry, but... a purely popular vote is "too reckless"?! In some sense more reckless than democracy in general?

Oooooh. In the sense that you might LOSE if you actually counted all the votes. Especially with the record voter turnout, apparently. And I guess it would seem "reckless" if you had a sneaking suspicion that ALL THE PEOPLE WITH BRAINS IN YOUR COUNTRY would probably like to see you stripped naked, tarred, feathered, and driven up Main Street U.S.A. by a herd of rabid bulls. o.O

According to CNN, right now Bush has the popular vote.

It's all just really, really weird.

*stares at the map*
I've been watching it on CBC and I *still* don't get it. o.O

*goes back to trying to map probability of Kerry Winning by number of remaining states (14) versus number of remaining votes (150 million or so)*

*is overall pre-emptively depressed*

Re: *stares at the map*
I'm actually guessing a Bush victory, seeing the way the election is going compared to 2000. (Kerry seems to be losing New Mexico, Bush is winning Florida.) It'll be interesting to see if all the ranting on my flist actually comes true.

Re: *stares at the map*
At this point I'm just really, really hoping Washington turns blue, 'cause they're *right* on our border and Republicans go weekend duty-free shopping much more frequently than Democrats and they're always loud tourists and if Bush wins, oh, they're going to be absolutely insufferable...

Ooh! Whee! There goes Oregon! Come on, let's block out the West Coast...
