I am done. My classes suck, but for one that looks vaguely interesting but alas, is not especially useful. But I'm taking them, because if I don't have them I get kicked out, and then I don't live 'til next semester when I might get a slightly less intensely shitty date that will not again send me through THIS.

Okay, they don't suck *that* badly. But in the first semester of what is technically my third year I am taking only one 300-level class. The others are two 200-level and out of desperation, one 100-level. I wouldn't mind so much about this if I had come about these classes intentionally, but as by the time I was let in to enroll just about everyone else in the known Universe had already gone through them, I ended up with my fourth or fifth choices in just about everything. Gods, I hate this government. And everybody, right now.

Anyway. In case anyone's actually curious,

5:30PM - 7:20PM -- ARCH 223: Prehistory of Canada

8:30AM - 9:20AM -- HIST 105: Western Civilizations: The Ancient World to the Reformation

2:30PM - 4:20PM -- ARCH 201: Intro to Archaeology

1:30PM - 2:20PM -- ARCH 201: Intro to Archaeology

5:30PM - 6:20PM -- ARCH 223: Prehistory of Canada

1:30PM - 4:20PM -- HIST 316: English Society Since the Mid-18th Century (*pre-emptive yawn*)

9:30AM-10:20AM -- HIST 316: English Society Since the Mid-18th Century (Tutorial)

11:30AM - 12:20PM -- HIST 105: Western Civilizations: The Ancient World to the Reformation (Tutorial)

Gods, I hate this semester already. (Would you believe not ONE English? Nothing above 100-level, anyway, and nothing at 200-level I hadn't already taken. They're all plotting against me. :( )

And now I have to write a paper, too, damnit. >.

You have to register on a semester basis? Also, are you now taking an archaeology minor?

Yes, thank the gods, and no, I wasn't planning on it; but there was literally nothing else left. (Not a single English above 200-level unfilled, not a single History with spaces but the ones I got. Gods, my date sucks.)

Yeah, I guess in this kind of situation you hope to get a better pick for next semester.

yes SFU registration sucks
Though the telereg/webreg system was intensely worse despite what some people say. Las tfall it took me 24 nearly solid hours of sitting at the computer to get something resembling a decent schedule. Did you manage to get onto any waitlists?

Re: yes SFU registration sucks
None of the ones I really wanted to waitlist had any spaces for it. I am unhappy. :(

Understandably. Transfer students have it the worst because you get a late date but need the same classes as all the people with early dates. I don't envy you. I don't know about the English and History departments but the advisor in my department has been known to add students to classes after much begging and pleading so you could try that. Otherwise, it's a pity it's not possible to trade dates since I have yet to register (still waiting for the bank to give me money so I can pay for last semester ick).

I might beg for English classes. The Fantasy and Popular Literature one, anyway. I really, really wanted that one... :(
