The episode after the one after Angel returns, and Fred tazers the-little-bastard-Connor. They're going through Cordelia's apartment, and they find framed photgraphs. One of which includes Angel. A vampire, I seem to recall? o.O

I'm sorry. I forgot we left canon and all mythical common sense back in Buffy season three. *beatbeatbeat*

Stands to reason a souled vampire should be able to be photographed, easy. Besides, did Buffyverse ever say vamps couldn't be photographed? I'm not even certain they did the mirror thing.

I remember they did the mirror thing in season one Buffy, in that episode with the invisible girl - Giles is looking at his reflection in a window, Angel comes up behind him, Giles jumps because he didn't see him. They have a conversation on the subject of invisibility: Giles saying it's a wonderful gift, Angel saying something along the lines of "not so much", and references the fact that he can't see himself in a mirror. I always thought the two went hand-in-hand, physics-wise.

Actually, back in Buffy season 2 (I think the Halloween ep?) they had Spike going over a video tape of Buffy fighting (clearly visible) vamps. And I'm not sure, but I think Angel actually showed up on a video tape on the pilot of Angel (where the rich vamp was going over the tape of a party where Cordelia was schmoozing). I know there was an earlier ep of Angel (season 2, where he first finds the hotel and is having a flashback about it, IIRC) where Cordelia and Co actually find an old photo of him from the . . . 50's? I believe Cordy's line regarding that was "Well, it turns out that vampires do photograph -- just not very well." So yeah -- them showing up on electronic devices has always been in there, but they're not reflected in the "real" world. For . . . some reason. *sigh*

But that doesn't mean last season didn't achieve Hoover-esque levels of suck.

Yeah, I'd always wondered how vampires could be photographed - and videotaped - when both kinds of cameras use mirrors as part of their focusing mechanisms. *smirks* Funny how they never mentioned that, isn't it?

I *thought* so. >.
