Oh, my, but that's encouraging.

Douglas College Student Diagnosed with Tuberculosis

They're apparently testing all Coquitlam and New West students - as he took classes at both campuses - next week or something. *eyes dianahobart and yshynseth* Fun, fun.

He was also a restaurant worker. o.O

The test is super easy -- just a little worse than an allergy test.

They make a little tiny poke and put a little bubble under the skin of your forearm -- it absorbs and goes away within a few minutes and after 72 hours there's usually not even a mark.

But if it gets raised and turns red, then it's YOU! Off for a CHEST X-RAY!

It's also horribly treatable -- with the exception that you've got to take the antibiotics for upwards of six months in a row, every day, and that many people, especially people below the poverty line, are not particularly stringent about this.
