*incoherent muttering*

New exciting quality of crack-headed electrical wiring in Building of the Damned: random flickering of one of our paltry, I don't know, THREE circuits, wherein the living room/two front bedrooms circuit just... goes. For no apparent reason. And then stays gone, for unpredictable-numbers-of-minutes at a time. Unfortunately this circuit includes the cable modem and the router, so ha ha! This means our internet goes, too!

We (the roomies and I) spent a few hours playing phone tag with the landlord and the electrician before discovering we'd missed each other, at which point I, alone in the house, stole the cable modem and holed up in my room with it so I could finish my fucking paper, ye gods how I revile it. Eventually Roomie A returned from work and demanded the whereabouts of said modem, and I clutched it like Gollum with the Ring and hissed at her. It was not pretty. I may wake up dead. Just so you all know. (I've replaced it now, though, so she may spare me.)

Upside: I have finished my last Awful Women's Lit Class paper. One more to go, and that's the Awful Rhetoric Class paper, due Thursday. We're technically supposed to post a draft excerpt to the class bulletin board before tomorrow's class, but as nobody else seems to be doing that, uh, I'm confused. Still not sure whether I'm actually going to class tomorrow, as the only point I can think of is to ask him to look at my draft and tell me whether I'm doing it right (I still have NO IDEA). Said draft presently consists of thirty-odd newspaper articles from Ontario, Quebec and France re: headscarf bans in public schools and pre-teen soccer leagues with lots of multi-coloured underlining and illegible margin-scribbles, so you can probably understand my ambivalence about the whole thing.

Downside: I have now reached that point in the semester where I only care that It's Done, It's Fucking Well Done, and I'm afraid it may show.

Somewhere in the middle: My prodigious procrastinatory talent led last night to: a)feverishly plotting a sequel to Riverwend with Roomie B and b)maudlin drinking. Seriously, artemisiabrisol should never be left alone together. *headdesk*

Upside: OMG GUYS I HAVE THIS DELICIOUSLY DISTURBING NOTION FOR THE RIVERWEND SEQUEL, YOU HAVE NO IDEA, OMG IT GIVES ME THE SHIVERS.

Downside: Must call student loans again tomorrow and shout at them. AGAIN.

Okay, there goes the coherence. Time for passing out now.

Why the government dissolving for the second time in as many months gives Rodney flaily-arms

GUYS.

*flails*

My roomie calls this her new political OT3. (Because IT IS TRUE.)

I mean really, Steve? Did you really think "hey, I know, why don't I pull all my opposition's campaign funding" sounded like a winner? Really?

P.S. Canadian politics is so much more hilarious right now if you speak French. (Particularly the ones on the economy. "Monsieur Harper ne comprend pas" is my new favourite phrase. :D)
