Am I the only person who finds The Last September infuriatingly nonsensical and idiotic? It's possible I just don't have the patience for this flighty, swirly, prose, but it's irritating me sufficiently that I just threw the book across the room. The woman is incapable of following one thought process for more than three lines in a row, gyagh.
Also, I am now changing my essay topic. >.
I switched my essay topic. Gods am I glad I did. It is so much easier to ramble about poetry than a book with swirly idiotic prose. I'm sorry. It's sticking with me. Know when you read something really incomprehensible and you can't figure out why it's so incomprehensible, and you're not sure if it's the way it's written or if it's you and your brain really has finally turned to mush, and you worry, and then eventually you get pissed off and fling the damn thing across the room and change topics but the frustration sticks with you?
It's going, though. Going. *sigh* I think I need tea.
I did not mention: I finally sent the Christmas packages on Friday; all Expresspost but the close ones, so they should arrive by next Wednesday, latest. *dances* I love packages. Sending or getting. It's all good. ;)
Also, in the process of which, I finally did a proper recording of No One Should Be Laughing, so if anybody wants it, IM me.
Okay. Have two-and-one-half pages out of six, and none out of five for the other one... should get the hell back to work.
EDIT: Worms on Thursday! *dances, again, with a tiny flag*
Done! Hurrah! Now, some research for the other thing.
Still pondering the feasability of writing a 10-page history paper on the fact that the majority of fanfiction writers are female, although the same may not be said of the offline fandom. I'm mostly just uncertain as to whether it's at all possible to find literature on that, because I do need secondary sources, *gag*. Because I'm not totally certain that anyone with "credentials" is going to research us poor nerdy losers without talking about us like we're poor nerdy losers. (I keep typing "nerdly".) And I don't want to be distracted from my Great Research by plotting the slow deaths of the condescending blustering academians who've probably only been online ever to research the paper, grargh. Thoughts?
Hmm. Should perhaps eat something. Brain perhaps going squishy from over-exertion. o.O
