About the Skytrain

Translink says that the reason the waits were so long yesterday was because they had to shut off power for hours. They say they did this because there were so many people crowding the stations that they were afraid someone would fall onto the tracks and be electrocuted. Does anyone else see a problem with this logic?

"The stations were so crowded because the waits were so long because we had to shut off power because the waits were so long because the stations were so crowded."

Gyagh! That's not just a circular argument, it's centrifugal.

Maybe they should have let someone fall onto the tracks. It certainly would have cleared the platforms.

Chandri, email me at trisha@sequentialtart.com; I may have a writing job for you. Can you write for an orchestra? The story's like a Underworld Orpheus type of thing.

You have to admit...
... that's a pretty symmetrical logic statement.

It even makes a sort of twisted sense, assuming your brain itself is twisted about ninety-seven degrees to the dimensional norm.
