Stupid Microsoft...

...the copy of Office 2000 Professional I have, which is a UBC copy, which is not supposed to require a CD key during installation, is asking for one - not when I install, which would make sense, but AFTER INSTALLATION when I try to *run* the program.

I hate computers. >.<

Anyone know how to get around this? My copy of Office doesn't *have* a CD key, because it came from a University bookstore.

*grumble*

Kimry... FTP? Help? *pitiful look*

(And... nobody's listened to Song of Arwen. But that's all right. *I* know it's cool. ;)

...no... *that* wasn't blatant self-promotion at *all*... :P

Ah...
You sure that isn't just the registration key, not the OEM? Generally you just let the wizard handle that, unless it's different then what I'm thinking of.

Re: Ah...
It's asking for the CD Key; which is odd, because the last time I installed it, I don't think it did this. I get all the way through the install, and the configuration, and then I reboot when it tells me to - and then when I try to *run* the program from the start menu, there's a dialog box demanding Name, Organization, and CD Key.
